Why does the app need access on my device?

The app needs access to your device's camera in order to detect appropriate open spaces and display your real surroundings along with the AR enhancements. Access to your photo gallery allows you to save photos and video from the experience to share with others.

What if I denied access to my camera and gallery?

Follow the steps below to restore these features:

For iOS users:
  1. 1. Quit the app and open the Settings app on your phone.
  2. 2. Tap Privacy, then Camera.
  3. 3. Make sure the Amazon AR Player app is set to On.
  4. 4. Go back to Privacy, then tap Photos.
  5. 5. Make sure the Amazon AR Player app is set to Read and Write.

For Android users:
  1. 1. Quit the app and open the Settings app on your phone.
  2. 2. Tap Apps and Notifications
  3. 3. Tap the Amazon AR Player app. If you can't find it, first tap See all apps or App info.
  4. 4. Tap Permissions.
  5. 5. Tap the permission settings, then choose Allow.
